Mixed-Use Project Planned On Biscayne Boulevard.

The proposal calls for a new building to be constructed next to the Bayside Motor Inn at 5101 Biscayne Boulevard. The existing building is considered a historic Mimo structure and will be restored, with a portion of the building that is not considered historic to be demolished.

About 19,000 square feet of new construction is planned, mostly office, with ground floor retail. Most of the historic building will be used for a restaurant.

Miami’s historic preservation board will review the plans next week. City staff is supportive of the plans.

Urban Robot Associates of Miami Beach is the architect. An affiliate of Mattoni Group is the developer.
